Our Wings Carry More Than Just People

We began our overnight dedicated freighter service in October 1985, after carrying freight on passenger aircraft for many years. An increasingly large and diverse Hawaii economy solidified demand for a reliable overnight cargo service. Aloha responded by acquiring dual-purpose Boeing 737QC aircraft. Better known as the "Quick Change" aircraft, these planes have the unique ability to be reconfigured from cargo to passenger carrying configuration in less than an hour. Early in the evening, pallets of seats are rolled off the aircraft, leaving an empty cabin for overnight cargo operations.

The types of cargo Aloha now carries is diverse; from cargo for well known courier services such as UPS, FedEx and DHL to a broad range of products like baked goods, newspapers, pets, fresh produce, flowers, tropical fish, surfboards and general cargo.

We are the only overnight carrier of cargo between the Islands to offer refrigeration capabilities at all of our Neighbor Island locations, as well as air waybill processing at all domestic locations.
